Oakland Schools Foundation Hosts Community Education Forum: 4th Annual Teacher Fishbowl
on September 29 at 7:30 PM
As part of its Education Forum Series, the Oakland Schools Foundation (OSF) will host the 4th Annual Teacher Fishbowl, a roundtable discussion among Oakland public school teachers, at the Jack London Aquatic Center on September 29 at 7:30 PM.
Before an audience of fellow educators and supporters of public education, a diverse group of teachers from elementary, middle, and high schools will discuss the daily successes and challenges they experience in Oakland's classrooms. Everyone is welcome to attend this forum.
"Teachers in Oakland are doing expert and passionate work every day for our students and city," says OSF Executive Director Dan Quigley. "The Fishbowl is our chance to publicly celebrate them and hear, first-hand, about their inspiring dedication to giving every student in Oakland an excellent education."
The Jack London Aquatic Center is located at 115 Embarcadero along Oakland's waterfront, about a mile from Jack London Square. For driving directions and to RSVP, visit www.oaklandschoolsfoundation.org/news.
