Maxwell Park International Academy opened in the Fall of 2008 in the Maxwell Park neighborhood of Oakland.

Our Mission
Our mission is to ensure that all students achieve success in school teaching explicitly those structures and developing those habits of mind that are the domain of world class students in world class schools. Such academic, scholarly habits are inquiry, analysis, critical thinking, and strong written and oral discourse. Our overarching goal is to develop future citizens with a global and environmental awareness, facility with different languages and cultures, and a strong sense of self both individually and as members of a community.
